The narrow down town plot at 943 Penn Avenue will have the city’s tallest hotel and downtowns tallest construction in the near future. A 29-story Pittsburgh Fireside Inn will be constructed there with the help of local developers and hotel management firm.
It will have 8 floors of condominiums and 21 floors of luxury hotels. Prospera hospitality firm will manage the proposed Pittsburgh Fireside Inn. The project will have 150 luxury suites apart from outdoors, indoor and rooftop garden. The project is at present at the design and development stage and a lot of creative ideas have to be put into it to make the project functional.
Buildings with combined use are becoming increasingly popular in the central business district. One of the drawbacks of this type of combination construction is that, if the hotel does not generate enough cash for the up keep of the building then the burden falls on the condo owners. But a good management can keep the hotel and the condo tower profitable with good business practices.
