Portland's Apartments Converted To Condos

The Portland apartment center was built in 1965. It is located at 200 SW Harrison Street with Willamette River to the east and the Portland State University to the west.537 units of Portland Center Apartment will be converted into condominiums and will be renamed the “Harrison”.

All the three towers will be remodeled in phases and every tower will be completely renovated within a span of 14 months. The first units will be completed by 2006 and the entire project is scheduled to be completed by September 2008. The units in the first phase are expected to be in the range of $185,000 to $800,000. The current residents will have the advantage of discounted rates and advance purchase option. The units in the range of $185,000 to $350,000 will be most sought after. The intimating letter of the conversion will be given to the current residents before 120 days that will help them to relocate to the available units.
